La disparit&#xE9; des concentrations relev&#xE9;es dans l&#x2019;Union europ&#xE9;enne est importante, mais les chercheurs envisageaient une d&#xE9;croissance de 2800 du nombre de cancers par un changement de pratiques.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les THM se forment par r&eacute;action entre la mati&egrave;re organique pr&eacute;sente dans l&rsquo;eau et le chlore utilis&eacute; pour sa d&eacute;sinfection. Leur association avec le cancer de la vessie est connue depuis de nombreuses ann&eacute;es et leur concentration ne doit pas exc&eacute;der, selon la r&eacute;glementation europ&eacute;enne actuelle , le seuil de 100 microgrammes par litre (&micro;g\/L). Les valeurs moyennes, par pays, rapport&eacute;s par les chercheurs n&rsquo;exc&egrave;dent jamais ce taux. Le plus mauvais &eacute;l&egrave;ve est la Roumanie (91,8 &micro;g\/L), suivi de Chypre (66,2 &micro;g\/L), Malte (49,4 &micro;g\/L) et l&rsquo;Irlande (47,3 &micro;g\/L). La France se situe dans la moyenne de l&rsquo;<a class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;UE&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Union Europ&eacute;enne (ou CEE)&lt;\/div&gt;\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.sera.asso.fr\/index.php\/glossaire\/ue\/\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'  tabindex='0' role='link'>UE<\/a>, avec une concentration moyenne de THM de 11,7 &micro;g\/L.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Environmental Health Perspectives<\/em> (EHP),https:\/\/ehp.niehs.nih.gov\/doi\/10.1289\/EHP4495<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The study area comprises the 28 countries of the European Union in 2016 (404,672,106 inhabitants over 20 years of age) (<a id=\"c35R\" class=\"tab-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ehp.niehs.nih.gov\/doi\/10.1289\/EHP4495#c35\" data-tab=\"pane-pcw-references\">IHME 2016b<\/a>).
